On November 5th, a militia of three men called an MNST reporter looking for an interview. The reporter quickly obliged and also called the Seattle Police Department, King County Sheriff's Office, and Washington State Patrol.
The reporter, BugattiJeep567, conducted a slow interview with each of the militia members while awaiting the arrival of emergency services. Throughout the interview, the reporter asked questions such as what led the militia members into a life of crime, what weapons they carried, and their stance on the Second Amendment-the right to bear arms.

The militia leader said, "I didn't go into a life of crime… I just did what I thought was best for the people." A second militia member reported carrying a knife and an AK-47 on his person, saying it was to, "Do a quiet death or make them go out with a bang."
The reporter explained to the second member he needed to check his emails in his office and that he would be right back. He used his office discreetly to message an officer regarding the situation. Prior to him being able to interview a third militia member, police, sheriff, and state patrol units arrived at the scene.
The police, however failed to protect the journalist from the line of fire and unleashed bullets on the militia. The journalist still remains unharmed. One exchange, a member of the militia with an AK-47 began to fire back. Injuring one officer. WSP quickly killed the shooter. The two remaining militia members were arrested and booked.
Gunfire from the incident perforated several windows at the MNST headquarters. It remains yet to be known if the repair costs for the damages would fall upon WSP, Seattle Police, or KCSO.
