Seattle, WA – November 16, 2024

Law enforcement agencies across Washington State have dismantled the notorious criminal organization known as The Black Veil in a sweeping operation dubbed Operation Icebreaker. A multi-agency, coordinated effort between the Seattle Police Department, King County Sheriff's Office, and Washington State Patrol resulted in the arrest of the group's leader, X3N0N4life, along with a number of additional members.

The investigation started on November 9, spurred by intelligence about the group's illegal firearms trafficking activities. The detectives in charge of the case included @pepekwastaken, 7W-102 ArseniySFS379, and 1K-16 Quik_166. It was several days of putting together extensive evidence against all these suspects. Law enforcement had in its possession proof of an illegal firearms drop-off, recorded in audio and supported by testimony from an undercover agent. Interrogation also includes key suspects and the body cam of the murdered officer.

This evidence was good enough for police to conduct search warrants across Seattle and King County under the guidance of a state representative. A number of raids were conducted on November 16, including arrests of suspects, among them the leader of the group.

The charges are diverse against the suspects. Charges against X3N0N4life include complicity to commit first-degree murder, unlawful possession of firearms and assault weapons, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful trafficking in firearms, and unlawful assembly. Other members face similar charges besides the extra counts for resisting arrest and first-degree murder.

Authorities confiscated a record number of guns, ammunition, and other relevant evidence throughout the operation. Law enforcement officials have hailed the crackdown as the biggest victory against organized crime in the region, with the arrests marking the culmination of weeks of strategic planning and inter-agency cooperation.

Already, the operation has had quite an impact, with authorities underlining the dismantling of a dangerous network that put citizens' safety into question. Though the effective investigation concluded on November 16 at 3:00 p.m., these suspects are very likely to stand in court during the forthcoming months.
