Seattle, WA – November 20, 2024 Seattle was descended upon last night as at least four Nissan GTRs ripped down Riverside Drive, Freedom Avenue, and Highway 55 in a chaotic and hazardous racing spree. According to eye-witness accounts, the vehicles were racing at high speeds, running traffic lights, and swerving between lanes of traffic.

Despite the pretty obvious safety risks, neither SPD nor the KCSO has confirmed an investigation into this. It also isn't clear if any suspects are in custody. MNST reporters on the scene watched as SPD cruisers rammed into buildings and even each other while attempting a wild pursuit, all while their tactics remain unclear.

The incident kicked off later in the evening into the early hours of the morning, and calls to 911 were made over the high-speed antics. No injuries or collisions involving the GTRs have been reported, but the chaos drivers on edge.
This latest street racing binge puts a new highlight on growing concerns about the lack of enforcement on Seattle's streets. With no indication of any real investigation underway, the city is under growing pressure for action in the face of the rising tide of illegal street racing and apparent disarray in police operations. MNST will provide updates as more details become available.
