A large West Seattle gas station has announced numerous innovative changes aimed at making it greener, less congested, and more user-friendly. Among its enhancements, the service station has enhanced fuel storage systems to avert potential leaks in addition to using the newly fitted energy-efficient LED lights that minimize environmental impacts . The layout has been revised to cut congestion around the pumps, which often has posed a problem during rush hour periods.

Also, improvements that were community-friendly were favored by the management of the station. It added in landscaped green spaces to add to the beautification and noise-dampening technology so as not to create disturbances to the residential areas. With the upgrades, residents have indicated appreciation of a station that has made conscious efforts towards modernization without compromising the character of the community.

These changes have been shown to offset the conveniences of city life with environmental responsibility, per Seattle's commitment to green initiatives. The station plans to move forward and further research other adjustments as it works toward positioning itself as a forward-thinking, green institution in the city. It has been put forth as an example by local officials of how small businesses can take the lead in utilizing sustainable practices.
